The position is within DOTâ€™s Finance, Contracts and Program Management division, Roadway Capital Program Management (RCPM) is primarily responsible for conceptual cost estimate within Capital Planning & Initiation (CPI) group. CPI is tasked to planning of streets programs all over five cityâ€™s boroughs including carrying out 10-Year Capital Plan which includes Mayor DeBlasioâ€™s priority projects such as Vision Zero, Great Streets, Select Bus Services and Storm Recovery/Resiliency programs. Responsibilities may include, but not limited: conduct research, studies related to the infrastructure reconstruction projects and analyze historical project cost data. Review plans, conduct field visits and prepare Conceptual Cost Estimate. Contribute to project initiation process including Scope Summary Memorandum prep. Review consultantsâ€™ cost estimate ensuring its accuracy and legitimacy in conjunction with project drawings and specifications. Attend technical meetings representing the unit-division-agency and addressing issues in regards of project cost estimate, cost control and revisions of project cost during project implementation work.
