The Field Services Unit (FSU) of the HIV Epidemiology program of NYC DOHMH was established in June 2006 to assist HIV medical providers and patients diagnosed with HIV infection with linkage to care and partner services. In 2013, FSU field staff are working with all major HIV diagnosing provider in New York City (NYC), including tuberculosis clinics, and NYC jails. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: --Supervise Public Health Advisors level II staff assigned to field investigation and partner notification services. --Conduct supplemental interviews and field investigations with patients to promote adherence to care, and increase partner notification and testing. -- Educate patients and partner about HIV prevention and control. --Perform medical chart review and abstraction. --Conduct case reviews with field staff to assure quality. --Assure that data is updated in the unit database. --Review and follow up on case management reports. -Assist with the ongoing training and development of field staff. --Conduct outreach and professional relations activities with health care providers., --Assist with program review and evaluation. --Assist with development of the protocols and data collection instruments.
